Product Manager I

About this position

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Home Mortgage team. This role will involve developing, managing, and implementing mortgage products and policies. You will collaborate with departments across the company, ensuring timely project management of product initiatives, including product/policy changes. The role also involves interpreting investor guidelines and regulatory changes, as well as supporting mortgage sales and operations teams with product expertise.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead project management efforts for product development initiatives and policy changes.
• Analyze investor announcements and develop a plan to implement guideline updates.
• Provide system updates for loan origination, pricing engines, and servicing systems.
• Create and revise internal/external operational guidelines and supporting documents.
• Oversee product launch performance and adjust strategies as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on mortgage products for team members across various business lines.

Job Skills/Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mortgage banking, with a background in product development and project management.
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and other mortgage programs.
• Experience in SDLC, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and SharePoint.
• Experience with Black Knight Empower, MSP, and PPEs required.
• Ability to present business cases to senior leadership and manage cross-departmental collaboration.

Pay Range:

$35-40/hr

About this position
In this role, you will apply your knowledge in statistics, machine learning, data modeling, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, generate business insights, and improve products. You will work closely with product engineers to develop and implement predictive models and advanced algorithms.

Job Responsibilities
• Apply expertise in statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, and advanced mathematics to identify patterns and make valuable discoveries.
• Design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and algorithms for data extraction and analysis.
• Generate and test hypotheses, analyzing product experiments and interpreting results.
• Collaborate with product engineers to translate prototypes into new products and features, providing guidelines for large-scale implementation.
• Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support for customer service dashboards and ad-hoc data analysis requests.

Job Skills/Requirements
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or R, and experience with big data tools like Hadoop or data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
• Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insights.

Additional Information
• Remote work with flexibility across the US.
• Contract duration: 3 months with the potential for extension or conversion.

Pay Range
• Pay Range: $50-60/hour.
