Bankruptcy Specialist
This is a contract position.
This role is an onsite position located in Providence, RI.
About this Position:
In this critical role, you will monitor loans in bankruptcy to ensure compliance with bankruptcy plans and that CCO Mortgage adheres to investor, state, federal, and bankruptcy court guidelines. You will work closely with various departments, including foreclosure, loss mitigation, escrow analysis, taxes, and insurance, to communicate the status of bankruptcies and ensure all processes are handled accurately and timely.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor bankruptcy loans to ensure debtor compliance with bankruptcy plans.
- Ensure adherence to investor, state, federal, and bankruptcy court guidelines and timeframes.
- Communicate bankruptcy status with foreclosure, loss mitigation, escrow analysis, taxes, and insurance departments.
- File Proof of Claims correctly and manage all aspects of the bankruptcy process according to guidelines.
- Serve as the first point of contact for bankruptcy attorneys and customers in bankruptcy.
Job Skills/Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of state and federal bankruptcy rules/laws.
- Ability to ensure compliance with bankruptcy guidelines and timeframes to avoid sanctions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
