Instructional Designer / Communications

This is a hybrid opportunity based near Philadelphia, PA. Candidates must reside within approximately one hour of the office location.
About this Position
A healthcare organization is seeking an Instructional Designer / Communications to support the development of internal training and communication materials for a newly evolving Finance University initiative. This individual will help transform complex information into engaging, digestible learning content tailored to a variety of audiences including clinical staff, operational teams, and general staff members.
This is a highly collaborative, project-based opportunity ideal for someone with experience in instructional design, training facilitation, and internal communications who enjoys building learning materials from existing content and helping teams improve knowledge sharing and engagement.
The organization currently has foundational materials in place and is looking for someone who can help structure, design, and facilitate professional learning content in a more polished and user-friendly format.
Job Responsibilities
• Design and develop engaging instructional and training materials for internal learning initiatives
• Build and organize course content for a Finance University-style learning program
• Simplify complex operational and financial information into digestible content for various employee groups
• Facilitate training sessions and support course delivery as needed
• Create communication and marketing materials tailored to different internal audiences and divisions
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine existing materials and improve user engagement
• Assist with visual formatting and content presentation using tools such as Canva and Microsoft Office
• Support ongoing communication initiatives related to training and staff education efforts
Job Skills/Requirements
• Previous experience in instructional design, training development, communications, or related fields required
• Experience leading trainings, facilitating courses, or working in education/teaching environments preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take complex information and present it in a clear, engaging, and user-friendly way
• Experience creating presentations, learning guides, or internal communication materials
• Familiarity with design tools such as Canva preferred
• Some marketing or communications experience is helpful but does not need to be extensive
• Portfolio or examples of previous training, instructional, or communication materials strongly preferred
• Comfortable working independently in a project-based environment
Additional Information
• Estimated 20–25 hours per week for approximately 3–4 months
Pay Range
Pay Range: $20–27/hr
