    Assistant Property Manager 
    This is a contract to hire opportunity.
    This role is onsite and based in Oakland, CA. 

    About this Position

    Join a mission-driven housing team supporting affordable housing communities across the East Bay. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support day-to-day property operations while building experience across leasing, resident relations, compliance, and site management. This opportunity is ideal for someone with early property management or housing operations experience who enjoys resident-facing work and wants to grow a long-term career in affordable housing.

    This role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to multiple aspects of property operations in a collaborative environment.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Support daily property operations including leasing, rent collection, resident communication, and reporting
    • Maintain accurate resident files and documentation in Yardi and internal systems
    • Coordinate maintenance requests, unit turnovers, inspections, and vendor activities
    • Respond to resident needs with professionalism and a customer-first approach
    • Apply policies and procedures consistently and escalate concerns appropriately
    • Monitor property operations and support safety and compliance standards
    • Partner with Resident Services, Facilities, and internal teams to support site operations
    • Participate in training and ongoing professional development opportunities

    Job Skills / Requirements

    • 1–3 years of experience in property management, housing operations, customer service, or other resident-facing environments
    • Experience with leasing, rent collection, work orders, file management, or administrative coordination preferred
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with Yardi or similar property management systems preferred
    • Strong organization and documentation skills
    • Comfortable working onsite and moving throughout residential properties as needed
    • Ability to occasionally support operational needs outside of standard business hours

    Pay Range

    $22–$24/hr depending on experience and qualifications

    Administrative Assistant – Property Management
    This is a contract to hire position.
    This is an onsite opportunity in Foon Lok East Bay. 

    About this Position

    This role supports the day-to-day operations of a residential property management office. You’ll serve as a front-facing point of contact for residents, vendors, and internal teams while keeping administrative workflows organized and running smoothly. Ideal for someone interested in property management, nonprofit housing, or community-focused work.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide front desk support including answering phones, routing messages, and greeting visitors

    • Sort and distribute mail; prepare correspondence and post resident notices

    • Maintain organized files, office supplies, and administrative records

    • Log, track, and follow up on resident work orders

    • Support resident application and move-in processes


    Job Skills / Requirements

    • Experience in administrative, receptionist, or customer service roles

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

    • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Calm, empathetic approach when working with diverse populations
