Software Quality Engineer

About this position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Engineer! In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge cloud-based marketing software. We’re looking for someone passionate about software testing, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and improvement. You’ll collaborate with developers, test engineers, and designers to ensure high-quality software and exceptional user experiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively participate in squad-based Agile development processes.
- Design, execute, and report on manual and automated tests, including functional and non-functional testing.
- Evaluate testing coverage, risk, sufficiency, and limitations.
- Provide timely feedback on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential risks.
- Quickly learn software and understand the needs of end users and stakeholders.
Skills/Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing, demonstrating adaptability to new challenges.
- Experience with web-based software testing.
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, SQL, Java, Ruby, or JQuery is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database-level testing is advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with web services test tools such as SOATest, SoapUI, Fiddler, or Postman (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with Agile environments (nice to have).
Pay/Salary Range:
- Pay Range: $35-$40/hour
