Merchandise Assistant

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Framingham, MA– In-office required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
About this position
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Merchandise Assistant to support 2–4 Buyers and an AVP, Merchandise Manager. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for over 50 vendors, helping to manage purchase orders, track shipments, coordinate travel, and organize internal communications. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain firsthand experience in merchandising, logistics, and vendor relations.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise domestic and import purchase orders using the Buyer Worksheet application.
- Track vendor shipments, follow up on late deliveries, and ensure timely and accurate order processing.
- Communicate with vendors daily regarding orders, appointments, and allocation questions.
- Coordinate internal travel, meetings, and vendor visits to the home office.
- Organize reports, manage samples, and support special projects as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Pay Range
Pay Rate: $23/hour
