This opportunity is seeking candidates who reside in New York, NY.

  

About this Position:

The Financial Operations Associate position is client-centric, requiring extensive interaction with clients, colleagues, and the global sales force. The primary responsibility involves ensuring accurate daily futures settlement figures for clients, addressing trade breaks, monitoring cash activity, and ensuring full account margining. Exceptional organizational skills are essential in this volume-driven role, and adaptability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial. The team’s emphasis is on being a Relationship Manager, delivering superior service to the client base.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for top revenue-generating clients, addressing operational issues across products and Ops functions.
  • Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through the delivery of exceptional client service.
  • Navigate the Morgan Stanley organization adeptly to resolve complex, business-critical issues promptly, collaborating with senior stakeholders in Ops and the Business Unit.
  • Independently contribute to automation or enhancement initiatives.
  • Drive strategic direction by improving efficiency and control in Clearing, Client service, Reconciliation, and Control functions.
  • Collaborate effectively with various infrastructure groups to deliver solutions for clients.
  • Earn trust to participate in Client pitches alongside the Sales team.
  • Conduct face-to-face client visits regularly, with or without the Business Unit.

 

Skills/Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Possess strong product expertise in Clearing Ops and across various businesses.
  • Preferably experience with Client Service and / or Derivatives products
  • Experience in financial industry Operations roles, and ability to understand and adapt to Regulatory and Industry change.
  • Excellent communication skills with subordinates, peers and senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work across Global departments to build credibility and strong relationships.

Pay Range:

  • $24-$27/hour
