About this position
This role involves managing the procurement process, including purchase requisitions, sourcing materials, and coordinating supply chain operations across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to analyze data effectively. Responsibilities include expediting purchase orders, maintaining accurate system data, administering supplier evaluations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support supply chain projects. Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and ISO standards is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions within a 24-hour timeline, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Maintain a continuous flow of materials by executing purchase requisitions for various items.
- Focus on achieving on-time delivery performance and update system data accurately.
- Administer supplier surveys, recommend changes to the Approved Vendor List (AVL), and issue Design Request Change forms as needed.
- Provide primary support for processing requisitions from the Purchasing Mailbox and offer timely feedback to address inquiries.
- Analyze and maintain key data fields in the computer system, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and ISO requirements.
Skills/Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MRP, ERP, and Microsoft Office (Excel/Word); familiarity with M2K is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and adhere to compliance standards.
Bonus Skills:
- APICS and CPM certifications are preferred

- Onsite Training in Boston, MA, role is in Westwood, MA
Pay/Salary Range:
- Pay: $25/hour
