About this Position
Join a finance team where you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting financial planning, reporting, accounting, and process improvement initiatives. As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you will work closely with Finance and Accounting leaders on budgeting, reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation activities while developing valuable skills in financial operations and business analytics. This opportunity is ideal for Year Up United graduates interested in building a career in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
Job Responsibilities
• Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) reporting and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with budgeting templates, forecasting activities, and financial reporting projects.
• Analyze financial data and support ad hoc reporting requests.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and accounting-related projects.
• Help identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes using Excel.
Job Skills/Requirements
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macros.
• Understanding of financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with large datasets.
Program Requirements
• Completion of a Year Up United program.
• 6 months–2 years of relevant internship, academic, or professional experience in finance, accounting, business, or analytics.
• Ability to work onsite in Lexington, MA.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in pursuing a career in finance, accounting, or financial planning and analysis.

Pay Range
